If you find that you are challenged with any of these areas, our services are ideal for you. We consult with individuals in person in our clinic, and via tele-health with California residents.

When I needle a point, I’m interacting with fascia, muscles, vasculature, the nervous system, and hormonal pathways. Nearly every patient experiences various levels of peacefulness and relief from each session. Modern science is still discovering the secrets of this ancient medicine with studies conducted by leading scientists, hospitals, and medical research facilities all over the world. It has been tested via sham-controlled trials, functional MRI studies, and measurable shifts in HRV, cortisol, and inflammatory markers. 

What To Expect

Our first consultation is designed to get to know you. We ask very detailed questions about your daily routines, including your diet, digestion, elimination, menses (or lack of them), sleep patterns, exercise, medications, supplements, and how you manage stress and pain. We feel your pulses, look at your tongue, explain what we find, and create a custom treatment plan. Your plan will include acupuncture, herbal medicine, or a combination of the two.  We also have extensive training with evaluating hormones and other biomarkers via blood, urine, and stool testing. We may suggest one or more of these types of tests to gain further insight into your physiology. 

DUTCH Complete Hormone Test

The DUTCH Complete is one of the most advanced hormone tests, offering an extensive profile of sex and adrenal hormones, along with their metabolites, to identify symptoms of hormonal imbalances. The results include: • Analysis of 35 different hormones: estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA-S, and cortisol, along with their metabolites • Daily free cortisol patterns to provide insight into adrenal insufficiency or symptoms of chronic stress.

Acupuncture

Schedule your first appointment with us, and know that the first session is just the beginning of the support we can offer you. Acupuncture works cumulatively- shifting tone in the nervous, circulatory, lymphatic, and hormonal systems. 

Herbal Medicine

While acupuncture and cupping have become widely known, herbs are the heart of Chinese medicine. The plant and mineral-based formulas we make in our clinic have been in use for centuries. Chinese medicine is extremely safe and effective when used under the direction of a licensed professional.

Nutrition

Traditional medicine encourages a whole foods, nutrient-dense diet tailored to the individual. We love it that diet is one of the daily ways we can influence health and wellness. We will give you resources based on your needs to fill in any gaps you may have missed with nutrition. We may suggest specific vitamins, minerals, or nutritional supplements that may be purchased in office or via our online store.
