We help women adjust to the physical and psychological transitions that occur throughout life, such as with menstruation, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, menopause, and beyond. If you find that you are challenged with any of these areas, our services are ideal for you. We consult with individuals in person in our clinic, and with tele-health to California residents.
What To Expect
Our first consultation is designed to get to know you. We ask very detailed questions about your daily routines, including your diet, digestion, elimination, menses, sleep patterns, exercise, medications, supplements, and how you manage stress and pain. We feel your pulses, look at your tongue, explain what we find, and create a custom treatment plan. Your plan will include acupuncture, herbal medicine, or a combination of the two.
Acupuncture
Did you know that acupuncture has been employed as a health care modality for over 3,000 years? Modern science has begun to understand the secrets of this ancient medicine with the support of new studies conducted by leading scientists, hospitals, and medical research facilities from all over the world. According to a study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine, 51% of doctors understand the efficacy and value of acupuncture, and refer many of their patients for treatment.
Herbal Medicine
While acupuncture and cupping have become widely known, herbs are the heart of Chinese medicine. The plant and mineral-based formulas we make in our clinic have been in use for centuries. Chinese herbal medicine consists of custom blends made from time-tested ingredients in pharmaceutical-grade, convenient powdered form. Our powders are easily consumed on the go, 2-3 times per day. Chinese medicine is extremely safe and effective when used under the direction of a licensed professional. It is amazing how powerful this ancient tradition is today.
Nutrition
Traditional medicine also encourages a whole foods, nutrient-dense diet tailored to the individual. We love traditional diets as one of the daily ways we can influence health and wellness. We will give you resources based on your needs to fill in any gaps you may have missed with nutrition. For some clients, we may suggest specific vitamins, minerals, or nutritional supplements that may be purchased in office or via our online store.
Availability and Scheduling
We schedule patients Monday through Thursday; and we consult in person and virtually with California residents. If you have any questions, or are ready to make an appointment, please call our office.
