 Think of acupuncture as your go-to for perinatal support. We most commonly help women with musculoskeletal pain and sciatica, digestive disorders, anxiety, correcting positioning of a breech or posterior baby, labor induction, and postpartum healing.

Acupuncture works cumulatively- shifting tone in the nervous, circulatory, lymphatic, vascular, and hormonal pathways. Get relief from pain, sciatica, headaches, and migraines. Mood patterns like depression and anxiety are also improved with treatment. We help many women with moderately elevated blood pressure find relief. We also help women whose babies are in a breech, transverse, or posterior position. We provide labor preparation in the last few weeks of pregnancy and when you are past your expected due date. We lovingly care for you and your baby before, during, and after the birth.

What To Expect

You can have a-la-carte treatments as needed, or a perinatal treatment plan that encompasses pregnancy, labor and birth, and postpartum. 

Our first consultation is designed to get to know you. We ask very detailed questions about you; including diet, digestion, elimination, menses, sleep patterns, exercise, medications, supplements, and how you manage stress and pain. We feel your pulses, look at your tongue, explain what we find, and create a treatment plan just for you. Your treatment will include acupuncture, herbal medicine, or a combination of the two. Nearly all of our patients also receive nutritional guidance.

Acupuncture

Obstetrical acupuncture and herbs are exceptionally safe when you work with an experienced provider. We enjoy collaborating with our patients' obstetricians, midwives, and doulas so women can have the perinatal support they need.

Herbal Medicine

While acupuncture and cupping have become more widely known, herbs are the heart of Chinese medicine, and the plant and mineral-based formulas we make in our clinic have been in use for centuries. Chinese herbal medicine consists of custom herbal blends made from time-tested ingredients in pharmaceutical-grade, convenient powdered form. Our powders are easily consumed on the go, 2-3 times per day. Chinese herbal medicine is extremely safe and effective when used under the direction of a licensed professional. It is amazing how powerful this ancient medicine is today.
