What To Expect

Our first consultation is designed to get to know you. We ask very detailed questions about you; including diet, digestion, elimination, menses, sleep patterns, exercise, medications, supplements, and how you manage stress and pain. We feel your pulses, look at your tongue, explain what we find, and create a treatment plan just for you. Your treatment will include acupuncture, herbal medicine, or a combination of the two. Nearly all of our patients also receive nutritional guidance.

Chinese herbal medicine consists of custom herbal blends made from time-tested ingredients in pharmaceutical-grade, convenient powdered form. Our powders are easily consumed on the go, 2-3 times per day. Chinese herbal medicine is extremely safe and effective when used under the direction of a licensed professional. It is amazing how powerful this ancient medicine is today. 

Nutrition

Traditional medicine encourages a whole foods, nutrient-dense diet tailored to the individual. We love traditional diets as one of the daily ways we can influence health and wellness. We give our patients' resources based on needs to fill in any gaps that may have been missed. For some women, we may suggest specific vitamins, minerals, or nutritional supplements that may be purchased in office or via our online store.
