What makes Rose Gold Health different?
Our provider Kim is warm and personable, and she has a very practical approach to caring for you. She listens and helps each client with their individual needs. We love acupuncture and herbs, and feel that they are an essential way to stay in great health. We offer all the typical modalities in one session, instead of separating it all out. So come in for acupuncture, and you may also have gua sha or cupping at no extra charge. Herbs and supplements are also reasonably priced as an additional fee based on the product.
How Many Sessions Do I Need?
Acupuncture and herbal medicine are holistic treatments that improve the imbalances in our body, mind, and emotions. To create deep and lasting change, a series of cumulative sessions are essential. For problems you have had for years, or for injuries that need time to heal, 8-12 sessions are typical. Acupuncture is offered at some hospitals in China, and patients might come in 3-5 times a week until they achieve improvement. Here in the US we use that frequency as well, but more often patients come in 1-3 times per week. At the end of the series we re-evaluate your progress and recommend care as needed to sustain your well-being. If you want regular acupuncture for your health and wellness please come in as needed. Make sure you read about our 5 session package for savings!
Our clients address acute conditions with acupuncture, such as: colds, coughs, UTI's, flus, arthritis flare-ups, encouraging labor, allergic reactions, migraines, injuries, nausea or pain in pregnancy, gout flare ups, Bell's Palsy, and more. Many long term clients get acupuncture once or twice a month or season for tune-ups. During our sessions you will have the opportunity to discuss your current concerns, to ask questions, and to receive deeply relaxing and gentle acupuncture.
What To Expect
Our first visit is 90 minutes, and follow up visits are 50-60 minutes. When you schedule your first appointment, please fill out our online health intake. We will use that to guide us through our first and subsequent meetings. You will have acupuncture with each session, along with optional cupping or gua sha, moxa or estim.
We also offer health consultation, herbal formula recommendation, gua sha and/or cupping sessions for those who have pain or injury but don't want needles. It's our opinion that needles, gua sha/cupping, and herbs work best for most things, but for those who opt out of acupuncture, you can still benefit from our services.
What Is Functional Medicine?
Functional medicine testing is another way to get data about a person's physiological weaknesses and strengths and guide treatment. This can be done with blood test collection, or home test kits that assess hormones, adrenals, the gut, neurotransmitters and the brain, and toxins. We use DUTCH Complete hormone testing, the GIMAP comprehensive GI test, and ORGANIX nutrition test. Typically, a functional medicine initial consult is one hour, and follow ups are 30 minutes.
